Utah Jazz 2013 Preseason Broadcast Schedule

SALT LAKE CITY (September 6, 2013) – The Utah Jazz announced today the radio and television broadcast schedule for the team’s 2013 NBA preseason. The Jazz’s official television partner, ROOT SPORTS, will begin its 25th consecutive season airing Jazz games by televising four preseason games (two home, two away), including the October 8 opener vs. Golden State. The Zone Sports Network (1280 AM/97.5 FM), the exclusive radio home of the Jazz, will broadcast the preseason schedule in its entirety.

“We are pleased to partner with ROOT SPORTS to provide our fans the opportunity to see four preseason games,” said Randy Rigby, President of the Utah Jazz. “Between ROOT SPORTS and The Zone, Jazz fans will be able to watch or listen to every preseason game as we embark on an exciting season.”

The four preseason telecasts will include October 8 vs. the Golden State Warriors and October 16 vs. the Portland Trail Blazers, as well as October 22 at the Los Angeles Lakers and October 23 at the Los Angeles Clippers. All telecasts on ROOT SPORTS will be distributed in high definition (HD) and will feature a 30-minute pre- and postgame show.

“We are thrilled to be the only place where fans can see exciting Jazz preseason basketball,” said ROOT SPORTS General Manager David Woodman. “These preseason games will give fans a taste of what they can expect to see from the Jazz all season long on ROOT SPORTS.”

This season marks the Jazz’s second on The Zone Sports Network, which will broadcast games on 1280 AM and 97.5 FM, and also simulcast on 960 AM in Utah County and the Jazz Radio Network. The games will also be broadcast in Spanish on 1600 AM.

ROOT SPORTS and The Zone Sports Network will begin their regular season broadcasts schedules with the Jazz’s season opener on October 30 when Utah hosts the Oklahoma City Thunder. A complete broadcast schedule will be released at a later date.
