Jazz Wrap up Summer League Against Lakers

In what will be their ninth game in 11 days, the Utah Jazz will finish their summer league action tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Jazz's fate was sealed last night after their second round loss to Denver 80-60.

Dionte Christmas, Mike Tobey and Shaquielle McKissic each had 10 points for the Jazz against the Nuggets. The game was close at halftime but fatigue was obvious and the Jazz simply couldn't muster the energy in the second half.

There have been several bright spots for the Jazz during summer league - most notably Trey Lyles. In two games in Las Vegas, Lyles is the leading scorer with 29.0 points per game.

Tibor Pleiss has also shown the ability to stretch the floor and is shooting nearly 47% from the field while averaging 9.0 points per game.

Tonight the Jazz will face one of the early favorite's to win the Vegas tournament in the Lakers.

The Lakers were undefeated until blowing a 16-point halftime lead and fell to Cleveland 88-80.

Los Angeles has been led by D'Angelo Russell who is averaging 21.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists.

The Lakers second overall pick in last month's draft, Brandon Ingram, has had a few bright moments in Las Vegas but has probably left Laker fans wanting more out of their top pick. Ingram is averaging 9.8 points (31% fg) and 4.0 rebounds.

Fans can tune into their last bit of Jazz basketball until October at 8:30pm MT on NBA TV.
