This Day in Jazz History - May 11, 1996

In a pivotal game 3 of the conference semifinals, the Jazz defeated San Antonio in front of a sold out Delta Center crowd. The Jazz got off to a hot start and never looked back shooting 8-12 from downtown in the game. Led by Karl Malone’s 32 points, 11 rebounds and six assists the #3-seed Jazz beat the #2-seed Spurs105-75 to take a 2-1 series lead. The Jazz went on to win the series in six games, eventually losing to Seattle in seven games in the conference finals.
