The Golden State Warriors have announced that Aaron Miles, Theo Robertson, Luke Loucks and Seth Cooper have been added as Player Development Coaches, joining Assistant Coaches Mike Brown, Jarron Collins, Bruce Fraser, Ron Adams and Assistant Coach/Director of Player Development Chris DeMarco on Head Coach Steve Kerr’s staff.
Miles recently completed his second season as head coach of the Santa Cruz Warriors, Golden State’s G League affiliate. Miles led Santa Cruz to the G League Western Conference Finals in 2018-19 following a 34-16 (.620) campaign, the second best record in franchise history. Overall, he owns a career-record of 57-43 (.570) with Santa Cruz, helping five Santa Cruz players earn GATORADE Call-ups. Miles first joined the Warriors organization as a training camp invitee following the 2005 NBA Draft, appearing in 19 games during the 2005-06 season. This past summer, Miles served as head coach of Golden State’s Summer League team.
Robertson re-joins the Warriors after spending last season as the assistant video coordinator with the Detroit Pistons. Previously, Robertson worked with Golden State as a video intern during the 2014-15 championship season and video coordinator/player development in 2015-16 before serving as an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2016-17 season. After a four-year playing career at the University of California, Berkeley, Robertson spent two seasons with the Golden Bears as a graduate manager prior to being promoted to director of operations.
Loucks spent the last two seasons as a two-way player development coach for the Warriors organization after serving as a video intern during the team’s 2016-17 NBA championship season. He joined the Warriors in the summer of 2016 after playing professionally for four seasons in Latvia (VEF Riga), Cyprus (Apollon), Belgium (Basket Willebroek), Germany (Hebeisen White Wings) and the NBA G League (Maine Red Claws, Erie Bayhawks).
Cooper comes to Golden State after serving the previous two seasons as an assistant coach with the University of Illinois at Chicago. Cooper spent two years as the associate head coach for the Maine Red Claws, the G League affiliate of the Boston Celtics, after fulfilling multiple roles on Head Coach Tom Crean’s staff at Indiana University from 2010-14. From 2006-10, he worked for the Los Angeles Clippers as an assistant video coordinator.
