For the seventh consecutive season, every regular-season Golden State Warriors game will be available on television and on radio, the team announced today.

CSN Bay Area, the exclusive television home for Warriors games in Northern California, will televise a total of 71 contests during the 2015-16 campaign, beginning with the team’s preseason game against the Denver Nuggets at Oracle Arena on Tuesday, October 13. The network’s regular-season coverage tips off on Friday, October 30, when the Warriors travel to Houston to face the Rockets in a rematch of the 2015 Western Conference Finals.

For the 19th consecutive season, the Emmy Award-winning announcing team will have play-by-play announcer Bob Fitzgerald and 31-year veteran analyst Jim Barnett calling the action on all CSN Bay Area telecasts, with Ros Gold-Onwude handling sideline reporter duties for home games.  CSN Bay Area provides extensive game day coverage with Warriors Pregame Live and Warriors Postgame Live; season-long, comprehensive Warriors and NBA news, analysis and insider reports on SportsNet Central and SportsTalk Live; via Warriors Central, a monthly half-hour magazine-style show; and in-depth 24/7 online coverage on CSNBayArea.com’s “WarriorsTalk” page.

In addition to the 71 games that are slated for telecast on CSN Bay Area, the Warriors are also scheduled to make a franchise-record 28 national television appearances this season, with five (5) game on ABC, 11 on ESPN and 12 on TNT.

For the 32nd consecutive season and 40th campaign overall, KNBR 680 AM will serve as the flagship radio station for Warriors basketball for the 2015-16 season.  KNBR will broadcast all 82 regular-season games and all seven preseason games, the most preseason games aired since KNBR became the radio home for Warriors basketball in 1976-77.  Tim Roye, who is entering his 21st season as the radio voice of the Warriors, will once again handle play-by-play duties, joined by Tom Tolbert, who will provide color commentary for all Warriors home games once again this season.

At this time, 87 of the 89 Warriors radio broadcasts are scheduled to air on 680 AM, with two (one preseason and one regular season) slated for KNBR 1050 AM.  KNBR 680 will also continue to air the Warriors Roundtable radio show and the Steve Kerr Show weekly throughout the season.
In addition to the 89 games on KNBR, the Warriors will also have a franchise-record nine (9) games aired nationally on ESPN Radio, more than doubling the previous high of four (4) national radio appearances last season.

The Warriors are currently enjoying the shortest offseason in franchise history. When the defending champions open the 2015-16 NBA season by hosting the New Orleans Pelicans on October 27, it will mark just 133 days since the Warriors lifted the Larry O’Brien Trophy in Cleveland and won their first championship in 40 years. With the NBA’s release of the 2015-16 schedule, we’ve provided a few observations and notes on the Warriors’ slate below:

The top five can’t-miss games of the Warriors’ 2015-16 regular season.

Much like a drive through the receding morning fog on the Bay Bridge, once you venture far enough into the NBA offseason, you reach a point where the road ahead suddenly comes into clear view. That’s the moment we have arrived at today, now that the 2015-16 NBA schedule has been released. While the memories of a Championship parade exist like a closer-than-it-appears object in the rear view mirror, the Warriors’ attention now focuses on what comes next. Golden State enters the 2015-16 season as the defending NBA Champions for the first time in 40 years. Certainly, the 67-win team from a season ago did not lack an abundance of targets on its collective back, and with a soon-to-be new addition to the banners in the rafters of Oracle Arena, the challenge to defend their title won’t be any easier. While the Warriors enter the new season rightfully considered amongst the league’s elite teams, it’s far too early to discern their chances of accomplishing that historically tough task. Instead, all we have at this point is the schedule, and with that, a hint of what might comprise some of the more intriguing matchups of the regular season. With that, I present to you the five can’t-miss games of the Warriors’ 2015-16 regular season (in chronological order):

The Warriors open up the 2015-16 season against Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans in a rematch of last season’s first round playoff series. While the Pelicans will surely be riled up for a chance at vengeance, this night will be a memorable event for all those in attendance, as the Warriors will step on the court as defending NBA Champions for the first time in four decades. A home opener against a new playoff rival with the added bonus of Championship festivities? Sign me up.

Did someone say rematch? Well, it doesn’t get any bigger than this. LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers come to Oracle Arena on Christmas Day to take on the Warriors for the first time since Golden State eliminated them in Game 6 of the NBA Finals back on June 16. This will be the most anticipated matchup on a day in which the NBA reigns supreme, and likely the best Christmas Day matchup the league has had in its recent yuletide history. James put on quite a show in the 2015 Finals, albeit in defeat, and gave the Dubs a run for their money despite the Cavs being without two of their big three in Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. Make no mistake, the Cavs would love nothing more than to exact a little retribution by defeating the Warriors on their own home court with the whole world watching. Likewise, you can bet Golden State will be looking to make a statement of their own to reinforce their championship identity. All in all, this matchup has the makings of the best Christmas Day present the NBA schedule could offer.

The National Basketball Association announced today that the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors 2015-16 season, presented by Kaiser Permanente, will tip off at home against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, October 27, in a rematch of the teams’ First Round series in the 2015 NBA Playoffs.

The Warriors open the season with four consecutive games against their 2015 Western Conference playoff foes, with road games against the Houston Rockets on October 30 and New Orleans on October 31 before returning home to face the Memphis Grizzlies on November 2. The Warriors will meet the Cleveland Cavaliers for the first time on Christmas Day at Oracle Arena in a rematch of the 2015 NBA Finals, and then again in Cleveland during the league’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration on January 18.

After winning a franchise-best 67 regular-season games and capturing their first NBA title in 40 years, the Warriors are slated to make a franchise-record 25 national television appearances this season, with five (5) games scheduled on ABC, 10 on TNT and 10 on ESPN. The Warriors’ ABC lineup tips off with their Christmas Day meeting with the Cavaliers and includes a trio of games on the debut season of “Saturday Night NBA on ABC,” with road matchups against the L.A. Clippers on February 20, Oklahoma City Thunder on February 27 and San Antonio Spurs on March 19, in addition to a Sunday matinee in Los Angeles against the Lakers on March 6.

Highlights of the team’s TNT docket include the season opener versus the Pelicans on Tuesday, October 27, marking the return of Pelicans Head Coach Alvin Gentry, who helped the Warriors to the 2014-15 NBA title as the associate head coach on Steve Kerr’s staff, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Day showcase against the Cavaliers on Monday, January 18. In addition, the TNT slate features home games against the Lakers on Tuesday, November 24; the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, February 9; the Thunder on Thursday, March 3; the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, March 29; and the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday, April 7.
