The Golden State Warriors recalled forward Alen Smailagić from the team’s G League affiliate in Santa Cruz, the team announced today.
Smailagić has played in 11 games (nine starts) with Santa Cruz this season, posting averages of 16.8 points on 51.5 percent shooting from the field, 5.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.28 steals in 25.3 minutes per game. He was named to the All-NBA G League Showcase First Team after averaging 21.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.00 steal and 1.00 block in 30.0 minutes during the four-day showcase from Dec. 19-22. The rookie forward made his NBA debut during Golden State’s 105-96 victory over the Phoenix Suns last night, recording four points and one rebound in five minutes.
