NBA Record-Setting Quarter
Klay Thompson scored 14 of the Warriors' first 16 points as the Dubs set an NBA record with 55 first-quarter points. With five first-quarter triples, Thompson became just the third player in NBA history to hit 300 3-pointers in a season, joining Stephen Curry and James Harden. Thompson also became the season leader in 3-pointers made for the first time in his career. The Dubs hit 12 3-pointers in the opening quarter and had 18 assists with only one turnover. Fifty-five points are the second-most scored in any quarter in NBA history, only trailing the Buffalo Braves, who scored 58 points vs. the Celtics in 1972.
