Warriors Launch To Preseason Victory Against Trail Blazers

The Warriors reserves put on a strong preseason showing against the Portland Trail Blazers to earn a 131-98 victory on Tuesday.

DUBS DEPTH ON DISPLAY 

Though the Dubs were without their veteran starters, the Warriors reserves got the offense going early and often. Six Warriors posted double figures in the feat, including Moses Moody and new Dub JaMychal Green with 20 points each. Green rounded out his stat sheet with a team-high eight rebounds, shooting 8-for-10 from the field and 4-for-5 from 3-point range. Sophomore forward Jonathan Kuminga recorded 10 points and three rebounds while Pat Spencer added 11 points, five rebounds and three assists, with the guard’s super slam at the end of the third quarter eliciting a strong response from his teammates and the Chase Center crowd.

WARRIORS ROOKIE WORK 

Ryan Rollins made his preseason debut at Chase Center on Tuesday, recording 12 points, five assists and two steals in 16 minutes of play, with the rookie guard finishing 5-for-7 from the field. Forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. added six points, three rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes of play. 

WELL DONE WISEMAN 

James Wiseman produced 18 points, seven rebounds and two assists, shooting 6-for-8 from the field in 18 minutes of play. The center made his way to the charity stripe often, finishing 6-for-7 from the free throw line. Wiseman, who missed the entirety of the 2021-22 season, has recorded double figures in three of four games played during the Dubs’ 2022 preseason.
