Warriors Launch 3-D Seat Viewer On Warriors.com

The Golden State Warriors today launched a new interactive element on warriors.com, which allows fans and prospective ticket buyers to get a virtual, three-dimensional view from every seat location inside the Arena in Oakland.

To use this new element, fans simply drag their mouse across a seating map of the Arena in Oakland, which tells the user what section they are currently highlighting, as well as the seat price in that section. When the user clicks on a particular section, a 3D computer-generated model will appear on the screen, which allows the fan to see a nearly 360-degree virtual view from that seat location.

In making this new seat viewer available to their fans, the Warriors partnered with Ballena Technologies Inc., which is headquartered in Alameda, Calif. Ballena has constructed similar 3D seat viewers for numerous other venues, including several NBA arenas, NFL and MLB stadiums, auto racing venues, and collegiate athletic facilities.
