Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the following injury updates on forward Jaden McDaniels and guard Jordan McLaughlin.&nbsp;&nbsp;

McDaniels, who experienced a right ankle sprain at the 7:30 mark of the first quarter in the Nov. 20 117-100 victory over the New York Knicks, was re-evaluated by Dr. Kelechi Okohora and has been confirmed to be progressing well throughout his rehabilitation program with no setbacks. He has been cleared to participate in individual on-court player development basketball and strength training activities.&nbsp;&nbsp;

McLaughlin, who experienced a right knee MCL sprain in the third quarter of the Nov. 2 114-109 victory over the Boston Celtics, has been progressing well throughout his rehabilitation program with no setbacks. He has been cleared to participate in full, five-on-five on-court basketball activities.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Further updates of their progress and return-to-play timelines will be provided when available.&nbsp;

The Timberwolves currently lead the Western Conference with a record of 13-4, the best 17-game start to a season in franchise history. Behind announced sellouts for all nine home games to begin the season, the Wolves are 8-1 at Target Center following last night’s 106-103 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The nine consecutive sellouts to begin the season are the most in team history since selling out all 41 home games of the 1990-91 season.

Minneapolis/St. Paul – Minnesota Timberwolves Forward Karl-Anthony Towns, in partnership with Hy-Vee, announced today details about KAT’s Community Coat Drive.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Beginning, Monday, Nov. 27 through Friday, Dec. 15, fans can bring new or gently used winter coats to any Timberwolves home game, or drop-off items at any metro Hy-Vee location (13 Twin Cities locations). All sizes accepted, including children, youth, and adult.&nbsp;

“Living in Minnesota, winter coats are an essential item for everyone,” said Towns. “I’m so proud of this annual coat drive and look forward to partnering with Hy-Vee for another year of helping out those in the Minnesota community, especially our youth, with proper winter wear.”&nbsp;&nbsp;

All donated coats from KAT’s Community Coat Drive will be delivered to YouthLink in early January. YouthLink is located in downtown Minneapolis and works with homeless youth, ages 16-24 years old across the Twin Cities.

Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves & Lynx today announced the 2023-24 season Starting Five grant recipients from the Fastbreak Foundation. This marks the second round of Starting Five grant recipients.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Fastbreak Foundation’s Starting Five program consists of a $100K commitment to each recipient over the four-year grant term. Each organization will also receive additional support and resources from the Timberwolves & Lynx including Pack Gives Back tickets to select games, player engagement opportunities and community impact programming.&nbsp;

Limited edition t-shirt designed by Prairie Island artist, Blanche White, to be sold in Timberwolves Team Store with proceeds benefitting MIGIZI 

Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves will host Native American Heritage Night, presented by the Prairie Island Indian Community and Treasure Island Resort & Casino, on Wednesday, Nov. 1 when the Timberwolves host the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets. Native American Heritage Night celebrates the rich heritage, traditions and culture of the Bdewakantunwan Dakota people of Prairie Island Indian Community.&nbsp;

Naz Reid/Blanche White Collaboration: Over the summer, Timberwolves center Naz Reid and Prairie Island Indian Community artist Blanche White came together to collaborate on a unique piece of artwork. Together, they toured the Edwin Buck Jr. Memorial Buffalo Project where Blanche, Prairie Island Tribal Council and other Prairie Island community members shared their special connection with Tatanka Oyate – the buffalo people. Reid, who discovered his own love of art in middle school, met with White on multiple occasions to exchange ideas and concepts. The end result is a piece titled, “Stronger Together”. The piece honors the Prairie Island Indian Community while tying in aspects unique to the Timberwolves and Twin Cities community at large. “Stronger Together” will be printed on t-shirts and made available for purchase at the Timberwolves team store beginning Nov. 1. Proceeds from t-shirt sales will benefit MIGIZI, a Minneapolis-based indigenous nonprofit organization that supports the educational, social, economic and cultural development of American Indian youth. 

“Minnesota Strong” PSA: The anti-bullying PSA presented by the Prairie Island Indian Community promotes message of cultural inclusion with appearances from Timberwolves and Lynx players, coaches, alumni and members of the Prairie Island Indian Community Tribal Council. The PSA will be shared across Timberwolves and Lynx social channels, with proceeds from shares and retweets throughout the month of November benefiting MIGIZI.&nbsp;

Prairie Island Indian Community Tribal Member DJ and Anthem Singer: Austin Owen (DJ A.O.) will DJ alongside Timberwolves DJ Mad Mardigan for the evening. Additionally, Tasha Campbell will sing the National Anthem prior to the start of the game.&nbsp;

Flag Song: Prairie Island Indian Community members and members of neighboring tribal communities will perform their Flag Song pregame along with singers and dancers performing at halftime.&nbsp;&nbsp;

“Dollars for Dunks”: Presented by Treasure Island Resort & Casino, for every slam dunk by a Timberwolves player throughout the regular season, Treasure Island will donate $100 (up to $50,000) to The Minnesota Fastbreak Foundation. A season ago Treasure Island donated $48,200 to the Fastbreak Foundation as part of the Dollars for Dunks program.&nbsp;

Fhima’s Test Kitchen Native American Dish: During the game, fans can enjoy authentic Native American dishes from Indigenous Food Lab on behalf of North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems (NATIFS). The exclusive menu offerings will include a native salad with pecan and mushroom dumplings with maple serrano dressing, smoked turkey tacos with corn salsa and pecan and berry crumble cupcakes. All proceeds will be donated to NATIFS. Fans can find these delicious menu items at Fhima’s Test Kitchen (Section 126).&nbsp;&nbsp;

Moore Jr., 22, enters his second season in the NBA after appearing in 29 games (two starts) in his rookie campaign last season, averaging 1.4 points on 41.9% shooting, 0.6 rebounds and 0.6 assists. In his first career start during the Nov. 30 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, the Richmond, Va. native finished with seven points, a career-high three rebounds and two assists. In eight regular season games for the Iowa Wolves, the NBA G League affiliate of the Timberwolves, Moore Jr. averaged 19.4 points on 42.0% shooting, 4.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Minneapolis-St. Paul –&nbsp;The Minnesota Timberwolves and Levy Restaurants today announced its new food and beverage offerings at Target Center, along with returning favorites ahead of the 2023-24 Timberwolves season. The industry-recognized program is curated by Timberwolves and Lynx Executive Chef David Fhima in partnership with Levy Restaurants.

Additionally, the team announced a new partnership with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. Fans 21+ can enjoy premium signature cocktails at the newly renovated Jack Daniel’s branded bars located on the 100-level and 200-level concourses at Target Center. In addition, the new Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola Ready-to-Drink canned cocktail (also available with Coca-Cola ZERO SUGAR) can be found throughout Target Center in grab-and-go outlets.

As part of the new partnership, Jack Daniel’s will sponsor several in-arena promotions and fan experiences throughout the Timberwolves and Lynx seasons, including the in-arena DJ booth, musical guest appearances, pre-tip promotions, as well as the annual Military and Pride Nights at Target Center.

For the past six seasons, Chef Fhima and Levy Restaurants have pioneered a new food and beverage experience. Focused on a chef-driven approach, working with area BIPOC chefs and vendors and sourcing local ingredients, Chef Fhima and Levy have elevated the fan experience serving restaurant-quality food and beverage offerings.
