About Last Night | Celtics Win Third Straight Over Bulls

The Bulls took a 2-0 series lead against the Celtics, but then Rajon Rondo got hurt.

The Celtics have won three games since, including Wednesday night’s 108-97 home win, giving them a 3-2 edge in the series.

The Big Three (?) of Avery Bradley, Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford combined for 69 points, while Kelly Olynyk led the second unit with 14 points and five rebounds.

For the Bulls, they look lost without Rondo, at that seems weird to write after how rocky his last few seasons have been, but it’s true. Isaiah Canaan was fine in his place, but he’s not the court leader that Rondo is. Plus, when Jimmy Butler only scores 14 points and misses his only free-throw attempt, that’s not a good recipe to win, either.

Game 6 is set for Friday at 7 p.m. in Chicago.

Go BoBo!

The Wizards beat the Hawks, 103-99 in Atlanta to take a 3-2 series lead.

Yes, Bradley Beal finished with 27 points (somehow while shooting 1-for-9 from the 3-point line). Yes, John Wall had 20 points and 14 assists.

But the real hero is Bojan Bogdanovic, who finished with 14 points and six rebounds off the bench. The Wizards acquired BoBo at the trade deadline, and he’s been an absolute stud for Washington.

Sure, BoBo has struggled this series, shooting 37.5 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from the 3-point line, but in 26 regular season games with the Wizards, he was averaging a career-high 19.8 points per 36 minutes while shooting 45.7 percent from the field, 39.1 percent from the 3-point line and 93.4 percent from the free-throw line.

If Washington has hopes of getting to the Eastern Conference Finals, BoBo will be a huge part of that.
