SAN ANTONIO SPURS ANNOUNCE 2019-20 BROADCAST SCHEDULE

SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 3, 2019) – The San Antonio Spurs announced today their 2019-20 broadcast schedule, highlighted by 80 games airing locally in high definition (HD) on FOX Sports Southwest (FSSW) – also streamed live via the FOX Sports App and FOXSports.comKENS-TV (CBS 5) and KMYS-TV (CW35). FOX Sports Southwest will air 60 games this season, KENS 5 will broadcast 14 games and CW35 will carry the action for six games. Each KENS 5 and CW35 broadcast can also be streamed live through the Official Spurs Mobile App. Two regular-season games for the Silver and Black will be carried exclusively on national TV.

Veteran broadcaster Bill Land returns to call his 17th season of Spurs basketball as the lead play-by-play announcer and former Spur Sean Elliott returns for his 19th season as the lead analyst. Dan Weiss returns for his sophomore season as the primary studio host alongside former player Matt Bonner. Ric Renner joins the crew for Spurs road games on FSSW.

 

All 60 FSSW broadcasts will include “Spurs Live” pre and post-game shows. All FSSW games will be streamed live through FOX Sports GO, which is currently available on mobile and tablet devices, including iOS and Android as well as foxsportsgo.com. FOX Sports GO is also available on connected devices including, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Roku Players and Roku TV, and Xbox One. FSSW has been televising Spurs games since 1987.

 

The season tips off on KENS 5 when the Spurs host the New York Knicks on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. KENS 5 will also carry the Spurs’ first road game of the year on Thursday, Oct. 31 against the Clippers in Los Angeles. San Antonio’s home matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on March 10 and road game vs. the Utah Jazz on March 24 will be exclusively broadcast on TNT. 

 

KENS 5 will air 14 games this season and will air exclusive Spurs content within the station’s newscasts and digital sites, led by veteran local sportscaster Joe Reinagel. KENS 5 is the Official Television Station of the San Antonio Spurs.

 

CW35 will broadcast home matchups with the Brooklyn Nets (Dec. 19), Clippers (Dec. 21), and Mavericks (Feb. 26), as well as road contests vs. the Sacramento Kings (Feb. 8), Minnesota Timberwolves (March 26), and Denver Nuggets (March 27). Each of the six CW35 broadcasts will feature 30-minute pregame specials.

 

Beginning on Dec. 8, basketball fans looking for more Spurs coverage can also tune in to “Max Spurs”, hosted by Chuck Miketinac. “Max Spurs” airs weekends on KABB-TV (FOX 29). Check your local listings for details.   

 

All Spurs games can be heard on WOAI-AM 1200 with Bill Schoening. Spanish language radio broadcasts of each game with Paul Castro will be carried by KXTN AM-1350 and 107.5 FM HD2. The 2019-20 Spurs season is presented by H-E-B.
