Five things to know about the Pelicans on Day 4 in Las Vegas

1)      Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis has been named to USA Basketball’s 19-player roster. The finalized roster for the upcoming FIBA World Cup in Spain will be unveiled in August.

2)      The summer Pelicans posted a convincing 90-73 victory over the Lakers on Sunday, improving to 2-0. Pelicans wing player Courtney Fells was the star of the game, piling up 25 points on only 13 shots from the field.

3)      Watch postgame video interviews featuring Fells and Pelicans forward/center Patric Young (10 points, 6 rebounds).

4)      New Orleans is back in game action Monday, wrapping up its three-game pool-play schedule with a 5:30 p.m. Central matchup (3:30 p.m. in Nevada) vs. the San Antonio Spurs. The game is again available live on NBA.com; a replay will be broadcast on NBA TV at 5 a.m. Tuesday.

5)      A victory today over the Spurs would seal a first-round bye for the Pelicans in the NBA Summer League tournament, which begins Wednesday. Entering Monday, there are only eight unbeaten teams in Las Vegas. The top eight seeds (out of 24 total participating teams) get to skip the opening round and advance to Thursday’s Round of 16.
