Loyola University New Orleans
Ariela is excited and eager to be starting her first year with the New Orleans PelSquad. She was enrolled in dance at just 2 years old and started competing with Performers Edge Dance Academy at 3. She continued competing for 13 years and received scholarships and awards for her dedication and excellence. Throughout the years, she was able to train in all genres of dance including ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, salsa and more. At 9 years old, she received the opportunity to dance for the Brooklyn Nets Kids Dance Team and performed with them in the 2015 NBA All-Star Game. After that season, she was able to explore other passions outside of dance and completed classes at the New York Film Academy for acting and directing.
Outside of dance, Ariela enjoys taking on new challenges academically and exploring different fields of study. Whether it be interning at Sony Music or learning about data science at S&P Global, she is up for the challenge. Currently, Ariela is entering her second year as an undergraduate at Loyola University New Orleans. Her passion to help others along with an interest in sociology and behavioral science has led her to major in Criminology and Justice.
