On Saturday, The Pelicans honored Catherine Pittman as the @ochsnerhero of the game. Catherine was first diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer in 2013. She chose to undergo treatment at Ochsner as they are one of the few places in the country to offer PRRT, a new targeted radiation therapy recently approved by the FDA. Despite her diagnosis, Catherine remains very active and is a caretaker for her brother’s property. Ochsner and the Pelicans would like to recognize Catherine Pittman and her family for their commitment to staying positive while facing incredible odds.
