Anthony Davis sixth in Western Conference frontcourt voting

New Orleans power forward Anthony Davis led all Western Conference frontcourt players in 2015 with 1.3 million votes, but some new competition may guarantee that Davis won’t claim the top spot this time. With Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant now listed as a frontcourt player (after receiving a total of 1.1 million votes as a backcourt player last season), the soon-to-retire wing and therefore sentimental pick had a commanding lead when initial results were announced by the NBA on Christmas morning.

Bryant has earned 719,235 votes so far, while Davis is currently sixth among “bigs” with 156,161 votes. In between Bryant and Davis are frontcourt players Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, Kawhi Leonard and Draymond Green. The 2016 NBA All-Star Game will be played in February in Toronto.
