There’s no time to celebrate because New Orleans is back in action Wednesday at 7 p.m., playing a back-to-back in Target Center, home of Western Conference-leading Minnesota (24-8, 14-1 at home). Pregame coverage on Bally Sports and 99.5 FM begins at 6:30.

On Western Conference Wednesday, the Pelicans have assumed the No. 6 spot in the standings. They are technically behind fifth-place Sacramento (19-13) based on overall winning percentage, even though both clubs are six games over .500 and New Orleans has already clinched a tiebreaker on the Kings (NOLA leads 3-0 in season series, two meetings remain). If the season ended right now, the Pelicans would face No. 3 seed Denver (24-11) in the playoffs.
