With Team USA’s exhibition season underway, the trio of  DeMarcus Cousins, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving has dominated competition, combining for an average of 40 points per game en route to three blowout victories. While the superstars hardwood abilities are mesmerizing, their Taboo game turns heads as well.

Boogie, KD and Kyrie showed up at GQ to face some of the editorial staff in a game of Taboo and while they weren’t as dominant as their on-court performances, they snuck out with a victory.

Cousins descriptiveness and ability to make the most out of hints made him an excellent teammate. Eventually, Team USA went on to defeat GQ in the ultimate Taboo game, 7-6.

We’re expecting plenty of additional victories for the squad throughout August.

The name “Swaggy G” was born on ESPN’s “NBA Tonight” broadcast when George Karl – as a part of an April Fool’s Day joke - listed his top three favorite rappers of all time.

Kings All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins sparked the initial conversation when Boogie pulled an April Fool’s Day prank of his own and dropped a fake album titled “Misunderstood” under the pseudonym “Boogie Smooth.”

Cassidy Hubbarth then collaborated with “Swaggy G” to release a fake album of their own, affectionately titled “Ballin’ and Shot-Callin’.”

The now famous screenshot went viral and was shared across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

So let’s never forget the humble beginnings of our coach’s moniker and celebrate not only his birthday, but all of the “swag” he brings to Sacramento!

Over the past couple of days, some of the biggest names in the NBA have raved about DeMarcus Cousins’ abilities on the floor, gushing about his potential and confirming what most of us have known for a while - DMC deserves to be playing on Sunday night in New York.

But on Friday evening, even before the players took the court for practice, two shared their picks for contest winners throughout the weekend festivities.

Making his pick for MVP of the All-Star game, New Orleans center Anthony Davis chose a player he knows well from their Kentucky roots and Team USA experience – DeMarcus Cousins.

Bleacher Report’s senior writer Howard Beck agrees with Davis, stating DMC could wind up with the MVP trophy when all is said and done.

Fans will have to wait to find out, with tip-off slated for 5:30 PM PST in New York's Madison Square Garden. Stay tuned to see if DMC can walk off the court with the MVP award in hand wearing his No. 15 jersey on the 15th of February in 2015!
