Sacramento Kings Announce 2023 Capitalize: Technology Winner

Shared Vision Receives $10,000 for Further Development and Three Years of Access to Dialpad Communications Services

App Orchid and Ravata Solutions Named Second and Third-Place Finalists, Respectively

Tonight, as the team took on the Phoenix Suns and hosted the organization’s annual Tech Night, the Sacramento Kings announced Shared Vision as the winner of the 2023 Capitalize: Technology contest, presented by Dialpad and the City of Sacramento’s Office of Innovation and Economic Development.

“We are excited to announce Shared Vision as the 2023 Capitalize: Technology winner for their work in supporting content creators in managing and monetizing the content they provide to consumers,” said Sacramento Kings President of Business Operations John Rinehart. “This year, the competition saw a record number of applicants from innovative businesses, and we wish all the companies the best as they continue to build.”

“Capitalize is a great opportunity for local startups and entrepreneurs to showcase the innovative work they are doing,” said City of Sacramento Assistant City Manager Michael Jasso. “The City is proud to support this contest and see the impact it makes on the companies who participate. We look forward to following the progress of all of the participants as they prosper and grow in the Sacramento region.”

Shared Vision software helps content creators and influencers more easily manage the products that they recommend to followers; improving the user experience with finding and purchasing products wherever they recommend them.

“Shared Vision is honored to win such a high caliber competition,” said Shared Vision CEO Spencer Bardsley. “The mentorship we received throughout the contest and prize package provided will help to propel our business forward and we are thrilled to see what comes next thanks to the Sacramento Kings, Dialpad and City of Sacramento. Go Kings!”

In addition, App Orchid was named as the second-place finalists, awarded $3,000 and Ravata Solutions was named as the third-place finalists and awarded $1,500.

This year’s competition received applicants from throughout Northern California. The applicant pool was initially narrowed down to the “Select 16” and then “Top 8” who participated in pitch workshops produced by The Growth Factory and Kings to help prepare the semifinalists for Pitch Day on March 1 when they presented their businesses to an esteemed panel of judges. As Pitch Day concluded, the judges selected the “Four Finalists”- 3D Organic Polymer Silk (3D-OPS), App Orchid, Ravata Solutions and Shared Vision – who then created pitch videos for fan voting. Voting ended at halftime of tonight’s game.

Later this year, the Kings will launch the expanded contests of the Capitalize platform, providing two new sectors, food and innovation, support in capacity building, connections and pilot opportunities.
