Today, the Sacramento Kings Foundation announced activations for the 23rd Annual Season of Doing Good, presented by Raley’s. These annual events, aimed at uplifting non-profits, youth, and educators, are designed to provide joy and community engagement during the holiday season.

“This cherished annual tradition allows us to celebrate our commitment to the Sacramento community and make a meaningful impact,” said Sacramento Kings Chief Operating Officer Matina Kolokotronis. “Partnering with local organizations and nonprofits, we aim to support those in need, bring extra cheer and spread joy during the holiday season.”

“Raley’s is honored to partner with the Sacramento Kings for another Season of Doing Good,” said The Raley’s Companies Vice President of Community Impact and Public Affairs Chelsea Carbahal. “At Raley’s, we believe in the power of community and are thrilled to help bring joy and support to non-profits, youth, and educators during this holiday season. This initiative reflects our shared commitment to uplifting and giving back to those who make our communities stronger.”

On November 20, the team will host the annual Eat Like a King event, a feast at Golden 1 Center where Sacramento Kings players and coaches will engage with more than 150 individuals from several nonprofits supporting underserved areas of the Sacramento region. Designed to create a fun and culturally enriching experience, this year's event will feature a festival inspired atmosphere with food and engaging activations, providing an interactive experience that celebrates diversity and healthy living.

On Sunday, December 1, as the Kings take on the San Antonio Spurs, the team will host a Toy Drive with Les Schwab. The toy drive, led locally each year since 2018 by Les Schwab, collects hundreds of toys for children in need throughout the Sacramento community. The first 200 fans who bring a toy valued at $20 or more to the game will receive two tickets to a future Kings home game.

On December 2, to spread holiday cheer and show appreciation for local educators, the Kings and Raley’s will host Holiday Cheer for Educators. This event will focus on giving back to teachers who are at the heart of our community. Kings staff, alongside Raley's team, will visit local schools to stock teacher break rooms with snacks, drinks, and other essentials. Each teacher will receive personalized thank-you notes, gifts and $25 Raley's gift card as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

On December 6, while the Kings take on the Spurs in San Antonio the team will co-host a Watch Party at Tom’s Watch Bar in DOCO with an opportunity for fans to win autographed jerseys, swag, and more. The evening will include an appearance by Slamson and 10% of all purchases at Tom’s Watch Bar will benefit the Sacramento Kings Foundation to help organizations in the Sacramento region continue and extend their youth basketball programs.

Additionally, Kings players will be spreading joy and giving back to families with special events and charitable donations in the local area and beyond. Kings guard De’Aaron Fox will distribute Thanksgiving meal boxes, host a community toy drive with Les Schwab, and surprise families from a local nonprofit with a memorable holiday experience. Kings center Domantas Sabonis will donate thousands of boxes of food to the Sacramento Food Bank to support families in need. Kings guard Malik Monk will continue his tradition with the 8th Annual Turkey Drive in his hometown of Arkansas, providing Thanksgiving meals and hosting a shopping spree for single mothers and their children. Kings guard Kevin Huerter will run a hometown “Butterballs & Basketballs” drive, gifting turkeys and basketballs, alongside a winter clothing drive for kids, while Kings rookie Devin Carter will support Sacramento families with a Thanksgiving meal distribution at the Simmons Community Center.

All Season of Doing Good event benefactors and audiences are predetermined and selected in collaboration with Raley’s, local nonprofit partners and community organizations.
