Grammy-Nominated Hip Hop Duo Luniz to Join Warren G in Pre-Game Studio Session and Perform at Halftime
Kings Game, Presented by Dialpad, will Feature the Team in their 2022-23 NBA City Edition Uniform
Today, the Sacramento Kings announced that Grammy-award winning rapper and producer Warren G will perform a post-game concert following West Coast Hip Hop Night on November 13 as the team takes on the Golden State Warriors. Before the game, Warren G and Grammy-nominated hip hop duo Luniz will participate in a Studio Session with local youth and mentors and the Rod Stinson Band will perform covers of West Coast hip hop hits in the DOCO Plaza. In addition, Luniz will perform their hit song “I Got 5 on It” during halftime.
“We are thrilled to have Warren G perform for the best fans in the NBA right outside Golden 1 Center’s iconic grand entrance,” said Sacramento Kings President of Business Operations John Rinehart. “Combined with Luniz during halftime, West Coast Hip Hop Night will bring two dynamic musical acts together as the team shines a light on a genre that has entertained for generations.”
Prior to tip-off, Warren G and Luniz will sit down with community members in Golden 1 Center’s Music Recording Studio to discuss their journey and what inspires them. Participating youth and mentors are associated with Interns to Pros Inc., Greater Sacramento Urban League, St. Hope Academy and Florin Square Community Development Corporation.
After the game, fans are invited to stay in the DOCO Plaza to watch Warren G perform some of his greatest hits, including “Regulate” and “This DJ.” The outdoor party will feature beverages and beer available for purchase in the plaza.
During the game, fans will receive LED bracelets to light up the stands and be part of the in-arena show, Kings DJs will participate in a DJ battle and face painting will be available on the concourse. The game will also feature the debut of the team’s City Edition uniform.
