Utah Jazz Sign Luka Šamanić to Multi-Year Deal

The Utah Jazz have signed forward Luka Šamanić to a multi-year deal. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

Šamanić (6-10, 227, Croatia) has appeared in five games (two starts) with the Jazz this season, averaging 7.4 points on 44.8 percent shooting, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 20.2 minutes per game. In his third NBA season, he owns career averages of 4.3 points and 2.4 rebounds in 41 total games (seven starts) with San Antonio (2019-21) and Utah (2022-23).

Drafted in the first round (nineteenth overall) in the 2019 NBA Draft by the Spurs, he spent the first part of the 2022-23 season with the Maine Celtics, the Boston Celtics G League affiliate team, where he averaged 20.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 17 games played (all starts).
