2018 Summer Interns

The Golden State Warriors work to be the best not only on the court, but off the court through the diligence of all of our team members. Staying at the top of our game, we work with our heart and soul as team members. Our fast-paced work environment requires talented individuals who crave learning new skills and aren't afraid to tackle big projects. If you know you can perform at this level, then our Summer Internship program is the opportunity for you.

During our summer internship program, we will provide a unique balance of professional development, networking opportunities, community service, and exciting events. Our interns will be challenged with projects that will help them grow professionally and offer them hands-on experience in the sports industry. As a member of the Bay’s Team, interns will be a part of something unique and exciting, elevating their value and contributions as individuals to make a difference.

Intern assignments are based on the business needs of our offices and the candidate’s qualifications. Positions will be based in San Francisco or Santa Cruz, CA.

We think our program is pretty amazing, but don’t just take our word for it! Here’s what some of our former interns have to say...

Amy Macrae, 2018 Intern
"Interning with the Golden State Warriors allowed me to better understand the impact that basketball has worldwide. I met some amazing individuals that now work all across the United States, many for other NBA teams. I was exposed to many different departments which allowed me to better understand myself and my personal and professional interests. I would recommend this internship program to anyone!"

Siddhant Nikam, Student at Santa Clara University
"I'm grateful for those who pushed me to work with the team's G League affiliate in Santa Cruz because over there, I could truly understand how the business operations side of a basketball team operates as a whole. Understanding this, paired with the regular meetings with executives and members of various departments in Oakland, allowed me to truly immerse myself within the company and its objectives."

Julia Nishioki, Student at University of South Carolina
“I truly felt like my work was valued and that I was given supportive feedback from everyone in the department. As interns, we had the privilege of attending various Q&A sessions with Warriors Executives, participating in a Helping Hands event, and working together on a summer long intern project. Overall, it was one of the best experiences I've ever had and I'm so grateful I was given the opportunity to be a part of the Warriors team for the summer!”

Zade Shakir, Student at Arizona State University
“Working in the legal department for the Golden State Warriors was undoubtedly one of the greatest experiences of my life, both personally and professionally. The mentorship and guidance I received was unrivaled. I was able to work on substantive assignments while gaining exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of in-house counsel. I could not have asked for a better summer experience and would do it again in a heartbeat.”

Lindsey Boyd, Student at San Jose State University
“The Warriors did a wonderful job in allowing the interns to gain insight into all aspects of the Warriors from the front office and practice facility, to Oracle Arena, Chase Center and the Santa Cruz Warriors. I was also lucky enough to understand the processes of accounting and financing the organization, and got to do several hands on projects with the accounting department.”

The application period for the 2020 Summer Internship Program is now closed. We will review applications over the next few weeks and hope to conclude the recruiting process by the end of April. If your education and work experience match our needs, we will reach out directly to schedule a video interview. Those candidates that progress past the initial video interview will be invited to a final phone interview with the department’s hiring manager.

You will receive an email notification regardless of our final hiring decision. Due to the large volume of applications we receive, we are unable to reply to everyone individually. Thank you for patience and good luck!
