Timberwolves Unveil New Stage Lighting at Target Center as Part of Continued Emphasis on a World-Class Fan Experience

Timberwolves and Lynx Co-Chairmen Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez continue their commitment to creating an industry-leading, memorable experience for Timberwolves and Lynx fans

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the installation of a brand-new, state-of-the-art stage lighting system at Target Center, aimed at delivering an elevated, immersive and best-in-class fan experience. This significant investment, led by Timberwolves and Lynx Co-Chairmen Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez, marks another major milestone in the organization’s commitment to creating memorable and engaging moments for Minnesota basketball fans.

The new lighting system creates a dramatic, theater-style atmosphere spotlighting the on-court action. The result is a more intense and focused viewing experience that puts the game front and center like never before.

“Our dedicated fans deserve the best when cheering on their favorite teams, and we’re focused on every detail that enhances the in-arena experience for our loyal supporters and players,” said Timberwolves and Lynx CEO Matt Caldwell. “This new lighting design enhances the big-game feel while preserving the close bond between the team and our fans, bringing energy, focus and a sense of spectacle to every Timberwolves and Lynx game.”

The Timberwolves and Lynx took a unique and collaborative approach by incorporating feedback from players and coaching staff into the final design. Based on their input, the organization ensured that players will stay connected to the crowd and continue to feed off the unmatched energy of the fans.

The lighting system is part of a concerted effort to continuously improve the gameday experience at Target Center, solidifying the arena as a true home court advantage.

Fans will get their first look at the new lighting during the Timberwolves home opener tonight against the Indiana Pacers and are encouraged to arrive early to take in the full, dynamic experience.
