How To Watch Timberwolves at Spurs Game 1: NBA Playoffs Start Time and Injury Report

The Minnesota Timberwolves are on to Round 2 of the 2026 NBA Playoffs, where they will face the Spurs in Game 1 on Monday in San Antonio.

The Wolves advanced after a 110–98 win over the Denver Nuggets in Game 6 on Thursday, closing out the first round series 4–2. Jaden McDaniels led the way with a 32-point, 10-rebound double-double, while Terrence Shannon Jr. added 24 points in his first career playoff start.

Minnesota now turns its attention to San Antonio, the No. 2 seed in the West, who advanced with a 4–1 first round series win over Portland. For Wolves head coach Chris Finch, the Spurs are another test for a defense that has carried the Wolves through the postseason.

“It always starts with winning the point of attack and containing penetration, being really good on the ball," Finch said after practice Saturday. "This is a series where we're going to have to be good in rotation. This one is going to push our ability to rotate and our sharpness there. Obviously they get a lot in transition. They shoot a lot of threes in transition. So being able to get back and cover ground, and sometimes you just got to make a miss.”
