Sam Simmons serves as the Senior Vice President, People & Culture for Spurs Sports and Entertainment. In this capacity, she oversees core People functions for all SS&E staff, franchises and properties including human resources, employee experience, recruiting, benefits, risk, onboarding, compensation, people analytics and more. 

Before SS&E, Sam was the Senior Director of Strategic Projects at HubSpot, a global CRM platform public company. In this role, she led and built a team focused on driving company-wide initiatives including global expansion, employee experience strategy, hybrid enablement, COVID-19 response, leadership decision-making, and business continuity efforts. Prior to that, she was a Chief of Staff and Group Head of People for three executives and their respective global teams at Wayfair, and previously led creative/brand recruitment and senior leadership recruitment teams for Wayfair’s North American Retail business. 

Additionally, she held the roles of Principal of Executive Search and Director of People Development & Recruitment at Koya Leadership Partners (now a part of Diversified Search), an executive search firm focused on nonprofits, social impact and philanthropic organizations.

Sam proudly serves as a board member and advisor for Visible Hands, a national organization that develops and invests in early-stage founders from underrepresented backgrounds. A University of Central Florida graduate and Florida native, she resides in San Antonio with her husband, Brett.
