Spurs in London Update - August 2, 2012

France 82, Lithuania 74 – Tony Parker finished with a game-high 27 points, five rebounds and two assists to lead France past Lithuania. Boris Diaw added 10 points, eight assists and six rebounds and Nando de Colo recorded eight points and five rebounds. The win puts France at 2-1 in Group A preliminary action. Parker, Diaw and de Colo will be back in action on Saturday when the French take on Tunisia.

Argentina 92, Tunisa 69 –Manu Ginobili scored 13 of his 24 points in the second quarter to help Argentina overcome a 28-14 first quarter deficit. He shot 9-of-12 from the field and connected on all four of his 3-pointers while adding six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Argentina improved to 2-1 in Group A qualifying action. The Argentines face Nigeria on Saturday.

Russia 75, Brazil 74 – Tiago Splitter finished with eight points, five rebounds and two assists in a heartbreaking loss to Russia. With Brazil leading 74-72 with six seconds left, Russia connected on a 3-pointer to get the win. With the loss Brazil dropped to 2-1 in Group B play. Next up for Brazil is China on Saturday

Australia 81, China 61 - Patty Mills recorded a team-high 20 points, four rebounds and two assists to help Australia pick up their first victory in the Olympic tournament. Australia, who is coached by Spurs assistant coach Brett Brown, improved to 1-2 in Group B play. The Australians will face Great Britain on Saturday.
