Spurs in London Update - July 31, 2012

France 71, Argentina 64 – In a game that featured four Spurs, Tony Parker scored 11 of his team-high 17 points in the fourth quarter to lead France to a 69-62 victory over Manu Ginobili and Argentina. Parker added five assists in his first game ever against Ginobili in a FIBA or Olympic competition. Manu led the Argentina with a game-high 26 points, five rebounds and two steals. Nando de Colo, who the Silver and Black recently signed back in July, added 11 points, four rebounds and two steals for the French while Boris Diaw finished with two points, six rebounds and three assists. The win puts France at 1-1 in Group A preliminary action while the loss drops Argentina to a 1-1. France will take on Lithuania on Thursday. Brazil 67, Great Britain 62 – Tiago Splitter finished with a game-high 21 points and six rebounds to lead Brazil past Great Britain. Brazil improved to 2-0 in Group B play. Next up for Brazil is a showdown with Russia on Thursday. >> View photos from the game

Spain 82, Australia 70 – Patty Mills recorded 11 points and two rebounds in an 82-70 loss to Spain. Australia, who is coached by Spurs assistant coach Brett Brown, fell to 0-2 in Group B play. Australia will face China on Thursday. >> View photos from the game
