SAN ANTONIO (April 18, 2012) – Spurs forward Matt Bonner will host the Matt Bonner Basketball Camp July 30 – August 3 at the University of the Incarnate Word in conjunction with the Spurs and Silver Stars Basketball Camps, presented by Ashley Furniture Homestore, Gatorade and Academy Sports + Outdoors. The Matt Bonner Basketball Camp is open to boys and girls ages 7-14. Bonner will highlight the finer points of the game of basketball while also taking the time to share his experiences as a member of the San Antonio Spurs and explaining the path to his personal success.
The Spurs and Silver Stars Basketball Camps develop boys and girls ages 7-18 to be better basketball players by teaching basketball fundamentals and practice drills, situational learning, positive values in a fun atmosphere.
Camps will begin the week of June 4 and will run weekly throughout June and July. Registration starts at $245. Nine camp sessions are available, including Full Day (boys & girls, 7-14), Elite Week (boys & girls, 14-18), Overnight (boys only, 10-18), and Silver Stars (girls only, 7-18). Camp locations vary per week and include the University of the Incarnate Word, George Gervin Youth Center and Mission Concepcion Sports Park.
