Do you ever have those days where you feel totally inspired, and free-spirited, and like nothing can stop you?

Like when you're at the gym and your pre-workout kicks in... and you   start throwing weights around? Or when you can't go to the doctor... you   have to go to the vet because you're such a beast? ;) "And you're   smoking everyone out of the water?" (Gym-rat reference,  sorry.)

2015 has been such an amazing year thus far. I have an amazing   opportunity to be a local fitness model for a supplement store!! They   are a local supplement shop based in San Antonio, and they asked me if I   was interested in representing them.
  
If you don't know me... I want to make a career solely in the fitness   and dance industry. I have big dreams and being ordinary just won't cut   it. Do you ever think that you were created to do more? We all have the   ability to touch each other and change the  world through our talents and passions.

What are you passionate about?
What drives you?
Why aren't you doing it?

If I can inspire even one of you readers to just live life a little   more, and do what makes you happy, then I've played my part in this   world. Life is so much more than just an individual and what "you" have.   We all influence those around us in a positive light,  or a negative one. It's a choice. What will you choose?

As for me, I'm going to keep dancing, lifting weights, and chasing after   my dreams because someone out there needs to know that their dreams are   attainable.

Spurs vs. Kings - Preseason

The trip is sadly coming to an end. We leave tomorrow (Monday night) and as much as I miss home, I wish we could've stayed longer. This trip was AMAZING. More than I could have ever imagined. From all the people I met and worked with to all the awesome Argentina fans who love basketball and the Spurs! I'm so thankful to have been a part of this oppurtunity!!

We had the pleasure of having Bruce Bowen and Fabricio Oberto as our company the entire time, and throughout the trip I learned that empanadas are pretty popular here because they are delicioso!!! Last night at our dinner I tried Argentina flan and another popular dessert called Dulce de leche, which is like their Nutella. The food here was just amazing in general!!! I made two awesome new friends named Jeronímo and Gastón! We talked a lot about similarities and differences between the US and Argentina.

Here are a few things I learned here:
  -Everyone goes out to dinner around 9-10pm (crazy huh?)
  -When you order water they ask you, sin gas or gas? That means sparkling water or still
  -Everyone kisses you on the cheek even if you don't know them
  -The cups of coffee are tiny wherever you go
  -The bathrooms are TINY

But over all it's been a blasty blast and tomorrow we shall sight see and hopefully get to visit the Manu statue!! Then the looooong flight home! No bueno!

Argentina, I will miss thee

Some of the things we did today included early morning interviews with three of my beautiful teammates (Natalie, Jackie y Wendy) like that Spanish I did there? Sadly Lori and Marissa and I no hablamos español! Anyway, we were able to perform for them and film some footage with the help of our lovely friend "Stuff" from Orlando Magic (He is their mascot). After that we practiced some more and cleaned up our routines and added some last minute details. We had a break from then until our next appearance that evening. Natalie and I got together and went down to the lobby to order some coffee. When the waitress brought us our coffee we were like "omg these are so tiny" it was like a baby spoon and cup! 5 of those bad boys would equal 1 grande from Starbucks back home.

Later that day we got ready for our appearance on ESPN Pura Quimica, where we performed! We also were in the company of Bruce Bowen where I found out his Spanish is as good as his dance moves! When we got back to the hotel we quickly changed to go out and eat. It had been a while since we had lunch, so we were HANGRY (hungry and angry = hangry). We decided to explore a little so we all got a cab. It kind of reminded me of New York, because the cars definitely do not wait for you to cross the street, so it's all up to you to do the "paying attention!" The drivers are kinda crazy and sometimes make 3 lanes out of a two lane space, and some of the roads don't even have lines to show that there are separate lanes. It's crazy! We finally found a restaurant called Puerto Montt Resto, it had pizza and pasta and a little big of everything. I ordered a pizza, well Natalie ordered for me because yo hablo español poquito, but it was definitely different than the pizza back home! It wasn't Grimaldis that's for sure, but it was still yummy and I was hungry. We got a cab back to the hotel and as soon as we came to a stop, a cop car was behind us flashing his lights and we all looked at each other like are we about to get pulled over? But nothing happened, so Natalie (our translator) asked the driver why they had their lights on and he chuckled and replied to her in Spanish, saying that the cops do it to mess with their eyes or play a joke on them. At least that's what she thinks he said. haha!

We finally got back to the hotel exhausted from our long day and crashed! These past two days have been adventurous and exciting. I can't wait to see what we do the rest of the week! ¡Hasta Luego! (Ya like the Spanish? ;)

Day 2 Adventures

Omg! Today's the day! Am I seriously about to go to Argentina...I gotta pack! I was packing until 4am! Being that it is my rookie year I had a lot to prepare, so packing was the last thing on my list...I know I know! What was I thinking?!?The plane ride to Atlanta was all gravy... but from there to Argentina, this girl needed a body pillow and a recliner! I slept a total of ummmm… 20 minutes! Really y'all it will not make my top ten flights! So believe me when I say I was so thankful to get off the plane. We made it safe and sound to our hotel, and were ready to get our game plan on. We unpacked, ate, Googled... a lot, hit the sheets and then it was… On To DA NEXT!-J

Day one in Argentina has been a fun day! Traveling to Buenos Aires was an eventful day. We had a 2.5 hour flight to Atlanta, and from there we took the plane straight to Argentina, which took 10 whole hours! A total of 12.5 hours on a plane! I have flown to New York, California, and Mexico but this flight was definitely the longest flight I have ever been on.   I was feeling very nervous to be on a plane for SO long. We flew during nighttime so I was going to try and sleep most of the way, which definitely didn't happen! The plane had a cool mini TV where you had the option to watch any movies, shows or documentaries. It had SO many options to choose from! I was so excited to watch The Fault in Our Stars. It literally had me crying like a baby!!! The Other Woman was hilarious...it was so hard to not burst out laughing since people were sleeping and I didn't want to wake them up... I also watched some Grey's Anatomy, so having all of these movie/show options made the flight go by way faster.   We had a free day once we arrived to Argentina. We got to our hotel and decided to freshen up and take a power nap before grabbing lunch. Before I took my a nap I got a quick snack at the Starbucks in front of our hotel. I was a hungryyyy bear so I needed something to hold me over until lunch hahaha! After ordering my sandwich and a water the barista asked me an odd question: "would you like your water with gas or without?" I was so confused by this question that I didn't even know how to respond. I found out that it was just simply either carbonated or sparkling water!!   We had lunch at this beautiful restaurant called, "El Marisol". We got a table outside so we could enjoy the amazing weather. We are so used to the Texas summer heat that this 70-degree weather was perfection! As our waiter, Nicolas, got our drink order I was once again asked, "with gas or without?" This time I knew the answer!! For dinner I had a chicken breast with mashed potatoes and O-M-Gosh let me tell you...it was the juiciest and most flavorful chicken breast I have ever had! The food was so delicious!   After din-din we ended our night with dancing and perfecting the routines for our upcoming events this week. Practice makes perfect! I can't wait to see what the rest of the week will be like! I know it will be amazing, and I can't wait to tell y'all all about it :)   XO Natalie

Buenos Aires : Day 1

We left Tuesday afternoon from San Antonio to Atlanta, which was a 2-hour flight. We then left for Argentina at 9pm for..... 10 HOURS. Yes. We were sitting in an upright position for 10. HOURS. Thank goodness our airline had tons of selections of movies and games to keep us entertained because it was sooo hard to sleep! I went to China last in January as a Silver Dancer and it felt like I slept for days on the plane! I felt like I was at home in my own bed; it was crazy!!  However this flight was very different. I could not sleep for the life of me!! But it all turned out okay because we got to take a nap as soon as we got to the hotel!! Wooo!! The day we arrived to Buenos Aires we were able to have a free day, so after our power naps we found a great restaurant called El Mirasol! It was so cool because we have one of those in San Antonio so it felt like a little bit of home! When we got back to the hotel we relaxed and started practicing our performances that we had prepared. The fun part about it was the only space we had was by the elevator lobby of the hotel, but hey, where there's a will, there's a way! The practice wore us out and I know I can speak for everyone when I say we all slept like princess angels our first night!!!
