On having more of a sense of urgency:
“We’ll keep showing it, keep working on it and keep improving. It’s a long season, but it starts with our main guys. We’ve got to get up and down the floor faster. We only had two fast break points in the first half, so we’ve got to get some easy baskets, especially with guys being out.”
On Dyson Daniels’ overall progression:
“He’s getting better and better. Each and every game he does something to elevate himself and his teammates and we’re going to take some positives out of every game, but we definitely need to get back to the practice floor, watch some film and we’ve got to work.”

On the improvements of Dyson Daniels:
“Steady improvements. I mean, he played 40 minutes last game, and coach tasked him with picking up full. Luka still did his thing, but it's not an easy assignment to pick up full court while still trying to be effective on offense. I think his stamina and his IQ for the game is steadily getting better.”

On the challenge of guarding Luka Dončić:
“He is just so smart. He uses his body really well and he draws fouls. When he is making step-back threes, it makes him tough to guard as well. He got the better of me tonight, but I am looking forward to the matchup Tuesday.”
On how his offense has improved from his rookie season:
“I’m just trying to go out there and play with more confidence in myself and go out there and make plays happen. A lot of the load right now is on BI (Brandon Ingram) and Z (Zion Williamson), so I’m trying to take some of the load off of them and help them by putting a few points up on the board as well. I’m just trying to go out there and play my game, be aggressive, and I work on my game every day so I look forward to building upon it further.”
