New Orleans Pelicans announce roster moves

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has recalled guard Jalen Crutcher and forward E.J. Liddell from the Birmingham Squadron, the team’s NBA G League affiliate. Additionally, guard/forward Malcolm Hill and guard Dereon Seabron have been transferred from Birmingham to New Orleans.

Crutcher, 6-2, 175, holds averages of 17.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 38 games with the Squadron this season.

Liddell, 6-6, 242, has appeared in eight games for the Pelicans this season, averaging 0.5 points and 0.6 rebounds in 2.9 minutes per game. Liddell, who was last assigned to Birmingham on February 21, holds averages of 17.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 18 games with the Squadron this season.

Hill, 6-6, 220, has appeared in all 35 games (all starts) this season with the Pelicans’ G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, averaging 21.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 34.7 minutes per contest. Hill was recently signed to a two-way contract by New Orleans on February 22. Seabron, 6-6, 190, has appeared in five games for New Orleans this season, averaging 2.8 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists. The North Carolina State product has appeared in 17 games for the Squadron, averaging 18.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists this season.
