The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that guard Kira Lewis Jr. has been assigned to the Birmingham Squadron, the team’s NBA G League affiliate.
Lewis Jr., 6-2, 175, has appeared in 13 games for the Pelicans this season, averaging 3.1 points, 1.4 assists and 0.8 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per contest.
Drafted by New Orleans with the 13th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Lewis Jr. has appeared in 116 games with the Pelicans and holds career averages of 5.5 points, 1.8 assists and 1.3 rebounds per game.
Lewis Jr. will be available for the Squadron’s game tomorrow night against the Osceola Magic.
