Five things to know about the Pelicans on Veterans Day

1)      New Orleans broke through for its first victory of the season Tuesday, beating Dallas 120-105.

2)      Alvin Gentry and Ryan Anderson spoke to the media postgame.

3)      Jimmer Fredette met with reporters after his season debut.

4)      Anthony Davis left the game with a right hip contusion and did not return for the second half. X-rays were negative. Davis’ status is expected to be updated soon.

5)      The Pelicans arrived in Atlanta at 2 a.m. Eastern this morning and will face the Hawks tonight at 7 p.m. Central. Atlanta (7-2) had a seven-game win streak halted Monday vs. Minnesota. Wednesday’s interconference matchup will be broadcast by Fox Sports New Orleans and WRNO 99.5 FM, with pregame coverage starting at 6:30.
