1)      Anthony Davis was officially named an All-Star starter Thursday, after leading Western Conference frontcourt players in fan voting.

3)      This is Davis’ second straight All-Star appearance. Here are photos from his first.

4)      New Orleans (21-21) is seeking a second straight win Friday, visiting the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7 p.m. tonight (Fox Sports New Orleans). The Pelicans conclude the weekend with a Sunday home tilt vs. Dallas.

5)      Sunday marks the beginning of a six-game homestand for New Orleans. The Pelicans are 13-5 at home, the NBA’s sixth-best record in that category.
