Pelicans recall E.J. Liddell from Birmingham Squadron

Malcolm Hill and Dereon Seabron transferred from Birmingham

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has recalled forward E.J. Liddell from the Birmingham Squadron, the team’s NBA G League affiliate. Additionally, the Pelicans transferred two-way forward Malcolm Hill and guard Dereon Seabron from Birmingham.

Liddell, 6-6, 242, has appeared in eight games for the Pelicans this season, averaging 0.5 points and 0.6 rebounds in 2.9 minutes per contest.

Liddell appeared in 29 games with the Squadron this season, holding averages of 17.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 26.3 minutes per contest.

Hill, 6-6, 220, has appeared in 24 career games across two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls, recording averages of 3.2 points and 1.6 rebounds in 9.2 minutes per contest.

Hill appeared in 46 games with the Squadron this season, averaging 21.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in 34.4 minutes per contest. Hill was signed to a two-way contract by New Orleans on February 22.

Seabron, 6-6, 190, has appeared in 11 career games across two seasons with New Orleans, recording averages of 1.6 points and 0.7 rebounds in 6.1 minutes per contest.

Seabron appeared in 28 games with the Squadron this season, averaging 18.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.5 assists in 33.3 minutes per contest.
