5 things to know about the Pelicans on Jan. 26, 2024

The Oklahoma City Thunder come to town to take on the New Orleans Pelicans in the Smoothie King Center at 7 p.m. The Pelicans have an opportunity to secure a tiebreaker over the Thunder by winning the three-game season series, having previously beat the Thunder in their first matchup in Oklahoma City on Nov. 1, 110-106.

The game is the Pelicans HBCU + Divine 9 Night. Fans in attendance will receive a special edition patch courtesy of Stackwell Capital. Be sure to catch this game as well as games with any future giveaways for the rest of the season.

Pelicans forward recently received an upgrade in injury status. Ryan had been out from an elbow surgery he underwent on Dec. 12, 2023. Ryan made his return to action with the Pelicans G-League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, playing 20 minutes in the Squadron's Jan. 24 game against the Wisconson Herd.
