1) New Orleans (15-24) visits Memphis (20-19) at 4 p.m. Central this afternoon in a Southwest Division matchup. Fox Sports New Orleans begins its pregame coverage at 3:30. You can also listen in on the Pelicans Radio Network with host Daniel Sallerson going on the air at 4. The Pelicans continue to rely heavily on some of their younger players, in the midst of various injuries to starters.

2) It’s a special day around the NBA, as teams everywhere celebrate Martin Luther King Day. New Orleans has hosted a game for many years on MLK Day, but this time is a guest of Memphis, the league’s centerpiece host on this holiday. The game’s unique 4 p.m. tip-off time is to allow for NBA TV to broadcast the game nationally. ESPN and TNT are also showing games today before and after Pelicans-Grizzlies.

3) The Pelicans practiced Sunday in Metairie before heading to Memphis in the afternoon. Watch post-practice video of Tyreke Evans and Jeff Withey.

4) Monday’s game is the first of a back-to-back set for the Pelicans, who are in action again Tuesday at home against the Sacramento Kings. Tickets are available here for Kings at Pelicans.
