The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 91-64 in the MGM Resorts Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Friday.

A 26-18 first quarter set the foundation for Minnesota in this blowout victory, holding the lead for the final three quarters. In fact, they took a 53-32 lead into the half and the 27-point final margin ended up being the largest lead of the game. The Timberwolves shot 49% from the field and 38% from three-point range while holding the Bucks to 28% from the field and 18% from long range. In addition, Minnesota out-assisted Milwaukee 25-16 while outscoring them in the paint 48-22.

Jaylen Nowell led Minnesota with 26 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Jaden McDaniels tallied 17 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Jared Brownridge led the bench with 12 points and two boards.

Brandon Randolph led the Bucks with 17 points and three rebounds. Jordan Nwora was the only other player in double figures, generating 11 points and two boards. Mamadi Diakite amassed nine points and 10 rebounds.

Both teams return to action on Sunday, with Milwaukee facing the Washington Wizards and Minnesota matching up with the Philadelphia 76ers.
