Orlando, Fla. (October 31, 2016) – STUFF the Orlando Magic Mascot was recently nominated as one of six finalists for the 2017 Mascot Hall of Fame. Fans can submit their vote now at www.mascothalloffame.com. The six mascots on the ballot include four pro mascots – Tommy Hawk (Chicago Blackhawks), Benny the Bull (Chicago Bulls), Sluggerrr (Kansas City Royals) and two collegiate mascots – Nittany Lion (Penn State Univ.) and Hairy Dawg (Univ. of Georgia).

The National Mascot Hall of Fame will be opening its doors in 2017 in Whiting, Indiana. The 25,000 square foot, multi-million dollar facility will be a state-of-the-art, interactive, family fun zone, with a wide range of exhibits, activities and events that celebrate mascot fun.

STUFF was recently named NBA Mascot of the Year by his peers for his high-flying feats and acting prowess. The award was voted on by NBA mascots at the 20th annual NBA Mascot Conference over the summer. Since the award debuted in 2005, 11 mascots have been selected as the NBA Mascot of the Year.

Entering his 28th season, STUFF is one of the most recognizable mascots in professional sports. STUFF prides himself as the Orlando Magic’s number one fan, and he relishes his role as the team “funny guy.” Whether seen rolling down the stairs, performing a comedic dance routine with the Magic Dancers, shooting his patented backwards half-court shot, or perhaps throwing a cake in the face of an unsuspecting fan from another team, STUFF seldom seems to slow down. Although unpredictable at times, his comedic timing and impromptu style is guaranteed to bring a smile to the faces of fans both young and old.
