Who are the instructors?
- Our Orlando Magic Youth Basketball Academy coaching staff is comprised of professional coaches that are current and former collegiate players/coaches, current high school/AAU coaches, game officials, trainers and other basketball personnel. All are rigorously screened to ensure participant safety and share the same passion we do for providing a fun, educational and safe atmosphere to learn the game of basketball.

Where are the camps and clinics located?
- Orlando Magic Basketball Camps and Clinics are located throughout the central Florida area. All programs are held indoors in clean, well-lit and air-conditioned gymnasiums.
What is the Magic's affiliation with the National Basketball Academy?
- The National Basketball Academy has been the operating partner for Orlando Magic Basketball Camps and Clinics since 2008. They are a professional training organization that partners with various NBA teams across the country. Locally they do individual/group training and have a very successful youth travel ball program. Do you offer pre- or post-camp and clinic care?
- Because of our agreement with the various locations, camps are required to start and end at a specific time. As a result, all participants must be dropped off no earlier than 20 minutes prior to the start of the camp session and picked up promptly at its conclusion. Some sites such as the Rosen JCC will offer after care through their program. Please contact camps@orlandomagic.com for more information.
How are participants organized during camp or clinic?
- Following an initial evaluation, participants are grouped by age and skill level to ensure each individual is playing alongside others of similar ability. Our camps and clinics are suitable for both boys and girls of all skill levels within the specified age ranges.
Will any Magic players attend camps or clinics?
- When possible, select Orlando Magic players will visit camps or clinics to interact with participants. Additionally, former Orlando Magic players, Orlando Magic Community Ambassadors, STUFF, and the Orlando Magic entertainment teams may also visit. While the Orlando Magic and TNBA make every effort to secure player visits, appearances are not guaranteed and remain subject to player availability and schedule.
What is the cancellation and/or refund policy?
- Policies for cancellations and/or refunds are dependent on each camp or clinic. For the most policy details, please contact Orlando Magic or TNBA personnel.
Can you tell me more about the free ticket included with each camp or clinic?
- All camp or clinic participants receive a free ticket to a select Orlando Magic home game for the current or upcoming season. Friends and family can purchase additional tickets at a discounted rate. Seat upgrades are also available. If you have any questions regarding ticket redemption, please contact camps@orlandomagic.com.
I am not from Orlando. Can my child participate in an Orlando Magic Basketball Camp or Clinic?
- Yes! The Orlando Magic embrace diversity and welcomes participants from all over the United States and the world. In past years, we've hosted participants from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Panama, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Spain, Turkey as well as most of the US. For individuals or group, our camps and clinics are open to everyone looking to have a great basketball camp or clinic experience. I want to host an Orlando Magic camp or clinic in my country. Is this possible?

Camps
What does my child need to bring to camp?
- Participants should come dressed in an appropriate T-shirt, athletic shorts and sneakers. For full-day camps, all participants must bring lunch. We also recommend that all campers bring a refillable water bottle. Participants should leave valuables at home as the Orlando Magic and TNBA are not responsible for such items. For any special instructions or issues (i.e. medications, allergies, etc.), please contact Orlando Magic or TNBA personnel before the camp begins.
What does a typical camp day consist of?

All activities include skills and knowledge related to basketball. Participants can expect to
experience the following:
- Dynamic warm-ups to ensure the players are prepared for the day's activities
- Station work to reinforce fundamental skills
- Conditioning drills to improve quickness, agility and endurance
- A skills seminar and application
- Structured 5-on-5 exhibitions to apply learned skills in a game setting
- Other various contests and fun competitions
Do you offer overnight camps?
- We offer at least one overnight summer camp per year. Boys and girls are housed separately, and are supervised by camp staff 24 hours per day. The overnight camp is perfect for visitors and for participants looking for a more in-depth basketball experience. Ticket redemption information
- Upon completion of camp season you will receive a dedicated email with ticket redemption information. Tickets must be redeemed based on the timeframes listed below.

- Spring camps ticket redemption timeframe March - April (end of regular season)

Is there any financial assistance available to attend a camp?
- The Orlando Magic offers financial assistance through the Orlando Magic Youth Basketball Scholarship program, with the intention of providing underserved youth with the opportunity to participate in summer youth basketball programming in the Central Florida area.

My son William, who is on the Autism Spectrum, had a fantastic experience at last week's camp. Coach Ryan Kittleson and the camp staff (especially Coach Maurice Thomas) could not have been nicer. William had a huge smile on his face every time I came to pick him up and that meant the world to our family. He is excited about basketball and we are thrilled! It was so wonderful to see him treated kindly and just like the other children. Coach "Mo" even took it upon himself to help William, one on one, when some of the camp activities were too challenging for him.
