2011 NBA Mock Draft

By Josh CohenJune 7, 2011
ORLANDO -- There may be nothing more exhilarating than when NBA Commissioner David Stern walks up to the podium every five minutes at the NBA Draft and announces the player each team has decided to select.

It’s so entertaining and gripping that we should apply the same functionality to our every day lives.

For example….

With the first pick at OrlandoMagic.com’s Breakfast Derby, Josh Cohen selects three scrambled eggs, two turkey sausage links, a bananna and a glass of orange juice (the crowd erupts with approval).

Several picks later…

We have a trade to announce…Josh Cohen has traded (suspense punctures through the crowd with unprecedented anticipation) one of his turkey sausage links to Dan Savage (fans expressing astonishment) for a pair of slices of bacon AND a future granola bar to be decided later.

Another instance…

With the first pick at OrlandoMagic.com’s Theme Park Extravaganza, Adly Santiago selects to ride three rollercoasters, a sky swat, the topple tower and an array of water rides.

Several picks later…

We have a trade to announce….Adly Santiago has traded one of her tickets to hop on one of the water rides to Kristy Cannon in exchange for the opportunity to play Skee Ball and Duck Pond over at the carnival games section.

The NBA Draft is an opportunity for most teams to revitalize their franchises and provide fans a glimpse into the future.

While not all selections will ultimately be a success, the unknown is what makes it all the more interesting.

Though it’s practically impossible to correctly predict every draft pick that will be made, OrlandoMagic.com’s staff have decided to give it a shot.

Some projections may surprise you, while others may be the obvious choice. Glance through our First Round forecast (and the Magic's 53rd pick of the Second Round) and chime in with your own opinions on our message boards.
