Honorable Mention: Winning the Test Out West
When the Magic completed a 4-0 West Coast trip in January, which included victories over the Spurs, Kings, Lakers and Nuggets, it was then that many began to recognize Orlando as a legitimate championship contender. The Magic also set an NBA record for most 3-pointers made in a game with 23 in Sacramento, which has since been matched by the Rockets.
