Honorable Mentions Reggie Jackson, 24th pick – Injuries have hindered Jackson, who missed 30 games last season and is currently out with a severe ankle sprain. But, he was a solid backup for Russell Westbrook in OKC and was playing at an All-Star level in his first year-and-a-half in Detroit. Chandler Parsons, 38th pick – Like in Jackson’s case, injuries have stalled Parson’s growth. He came on the scene in Houston and caught many people by surprise with his fluidity, point-forward capabilities and 3-point shooting. Since then, though, he’s battled knee problems and hasn’t fully recovered. Bojan Bogdanovic, 31st pick – While not quite the electrifying scorer that he is when he plays for the Croatian National Team, Bogdanovic has been a steady role player for each team he’s suited up for so far in his career. Tristan Thompson, 4th pick – Offensive rebounding has been his primary strength during his first several years in the league, and it helps that he’s been able to showcase that on a team that’s been in the Finals three straight seasons. A calf issue has limited Thompson this year, however. Nikola Mirotic, 23rd pick – Just a few weeks ago, it’s probable Mirotic would not have been included on this list. As soon as he returned from his injury, however, Mirotic has been terrific and has helped the Bulls stay in the playoff race. Brandon Knight, 8th pick – It had looked like Knight had turned the corner when he led the Bucks to an outstanding start in the 2014-15 season. Getting traded to the Suns in the middle of that year, however, seemed to shake his confidence a bit. He’s out all of this season with a torn ACL. Enes Kanter, 3rd pick – More of an old-fashioned big man with good post moves and footwork, Kanter has been solid throughout his career. Not developing an outside shot or becoming a more tenacious defender has limited him, though.
