Seth Curry quickly made a name for himself in the NBA during the latter stages of the 2015-16 season, impressing basketball audiences with a wide array of highlight moves while scoring the basketball at ease.
Since his freshman year of college at Liberty University, where he led all freshmen in the nation in scoring, Curry has been wearing No. 30 when possible. The guard’s play has progressed at each destination since, but his desire to wear the number remains.
As to why Seth has been wearing the number for so long, he shared the following with India’s Deccan Chronicle during his trip abroad.
“Wearing the number 30 jersey is like paying tribute to our dad. He is the one who taught us the game and means a lot to us. He wore the jersey since his high school days and so Steph and I are wearing the same number jersey. It’s like a family number.”
