Kings Win Fourth Straight in Late Comeback

Under a minute remained as the Kings found themselves trailing by two with momentum in Philadelphia’s favor.

Enter Garrett Temple.

The versatile veteran stepped up and converted a three-point attempt as the shot clock wound down, netting Sactown a one-point advantage in the final minute. Philly responded on the ensuing possession by taking the lead. But DeMarcus Cousins would seal the deal, hitting a dagger three and blocking Joel Embiid’s game-winning shot attempt.

Down by seven heading into the final 12 minutes, the win marked the fourth-straight victory Sactown fought back to earn in the final quarter. Cousins scored a dozen of Sactown’s 32 points in the closing frame. Meanwhile, Philadelphia was limited to just 23.

Rudy Gay returned for Sactown with 17 points while Ty Lawson proved key off the bench yet again. The veteran point guard scored 12 and gathered four assists.

During the team’s winning streak, the Kings have outscored their opponents by a total of 43 points in the final quarter.
