Galloway Brings Hard Work and Hustle to Team

An All-Rookie Second Team honoree, Langston Galloway was acquired this February, adding additional depth to the guard position. He sat down with Kings.com in an exclusive interview to discuss his game, knowledge of the Kings, and more.

Much like fan favorite Garrett Temple, Galloway provides an additional hustle player, with a penchant for defense. When describing his own assessment of his game, the former St. Joseph’s University standout agreed.

“I’m a big defensive guy,” he said. “I’m going to go out there, continue to play hard, and just have fun.”

No. 9 also talked about his contributions on the offensive end.

“The main thing I do is knock down shots,” describing his game. “Whenever I get opportunities, just go out there, I can shoot from anywhere, I feel like. My confidence is through the roof.”

Galloway is connecting on a career-high from downtown, making him an additional outside threat to add to the eleventh ranked long-distance shooting team in the League.

Galloway increases the camaraderie and selfless attitude on the team, being a team first player. Throughout his short tenure in Sacramento, he has stated he wants to help the team in any way he can.

“I feel like I’m a big hustle guy,” he said. “Whatever needs to be done, guarding the best guy, guarding anybody on the court, I feel like I can get It done. Like I said, I’m not scared of anything. I just go out there and leave it all on the court. I’m excited to help this team out in any way I can.”

His already established relationships with a couple of his new Kings teammates makes the transition easier for the newest Sacramento resident. Anthony Tolliver and Galloway have crossed paths before and been friends for a length of time.

His bond with fellow guard Garrett Temple is deep, extending to their days before the NBA.

“We’re both from Baton Rouge,” Galloway shared. “We grew up together. He’s a couple years older than me, but he’s like a big brother for me. He’s always looked out for me.”

His skillset and comfort around the team will be a quality add to the Kings, and the Sacramento faithful have a lot to look forward to when he steps onto the court.
