Hawks to Begin First-Ever Group Play Competition on Nov. 14 at Detroit; Will Host Philadelphia on Nov. 17 and Indiana on Nov. 21; Conclude at Cleveland on Nov. 28
ATLANTA – The NBA today announced the Atlanta Hawks’ four Group Play games as part of the NBA’s first-ever In-Season Tournament.
Atlanta is set to compete in the East Group A, which also consists of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, and Philadelphia 76ers. The Hawks will play four designated Group Play games on “Tournament Nights” – one game against each of its group opponents with two games at home and two on the road.
Atlanta will begin Group Play at Detroit on Tuesday, Nov. 14 (7:00 p.m.) before hosting two Tournament Night contests at State Farm Arena, facing off against Philadelphia on Friday, Nov. 17 (7:30 p.m.) and Indiana on Tuesday, Nov. 21 (7:30 p.m.).
The Hawks will conclude their Group Play slate of games at Cleveland on Tuesday, Nov. 28 (7:30 p.m.).
All regionally available games will be broadcast on Bally Sports Southeast, Bally Sports+, The Bally Sports app, and BallySports.com with play-by-play announcer Bob Rathbun and analyst Dominique Wilkins. The four Group Play games will also be broadcast on the Hawks’ radio flagship, Sports Radio 92-9 The Game and the Hawks Radio Network, with Voice of the Hawks Steve Holman and pregame, halftime and postgame host Mike Conti.
The inaugural In-Season Tournament will tip off on Friday, Nov. 3 and culminate with the Championship on Saturday, Dec. 9. The Semifinals (Thursday, Dec. 7) and Championship will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The In-Season Tournament will consist of two stages: Group Play and the Knockout Rounds.
