Hawks To Release Limited Number of Postseason Tickets Today

ATLANTA -- Limited tickets for Games 1 and 2 of the Atlanta Hawks’ upcoming first round playoff series at Philips Arena will be released to the general public today at 12:00 p.m. The Hawks, on pace to set a new franchise mark for single-season attendance, encourage fans to become season ticket members to ensure an opportunity to obtain the best seats this postseason.

“This is a very exciting time to be a Hawks season ticket member,” said Andrew Steinberg, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of the Atlanta Hawks. “Fans have packed Philips Arena in record numbers throughout the regular season, creating an electric atmosphere that helped fuel the team to the Southeast Division championship. Now, as a thank you, we’d like to offer our members a guaranteed opportunity to purchase playoff tickets and carry this momentum into the postseason.”

Demand for tickets has never been higher during Atlanta’s climb to the Eastern Conference’s No. 1 seed: from Dec. 23 – April 7, the Hawks sold out 22-of-25 home contests, including two separate sellout streaks of at least eight games. The Hawks have sold out Philips Arena on 23 occasions this season, four more times than they did the past four seasons combined, and just one shy of the franchise record of 24 set during the 1988-89 campaign at The Omni. Through 39 home contests, Atlanta is attracting over 3,200 more fans to Philips Arena per game than the club did last season, an attendance increase of greater than 18%.

Fans interested in securing 2015 NBA Playoffs tickets through a 2015-16 season ticket membership should call 1.866.715.1500 or visit Hawks.com/membership for details.
