Al Horford In Rome For Basketball Without Borders

For the second straight year, Al Horford is overseas for the NBA's "Basketball Without Borders" program.

Basketball Without Borders pairs NBA players, staff members and international players with youth from all over the world for four-day camps in which young players learn basketball skills and leadership lessons.  Horford is in Rome, Italy for this year's European camp, the first time the NBA has held camp there.

Joining Horford in Rome are Italian NBA players Danilo Gallinari and Andrea Bargnani, Italian national team captain Gigi Datome and Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Knight.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Chris Vivlamore, Horford is also continuing his rehabilitation in Rome, working with assistant coach Darvin Ham, who also made the trip.

Horford and Ham led the camp's post play section station on Thursday.  The campers have also been divided into four teams, with one team being coached by Ham, Horford and former Hawk Hanno Möttölä.  As Horford told Vivlamore, he's still not yet ready for contact but does expect to be 100 percent by the start of training camp in late September.

Last summer Horford trained youth in the Johannesburg, South Africa camp.
